17-3 Construction Update

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION

PROJECT 17-3 / 2017 WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS

ALONG 12th PLACE S and 13th AVENUE S

Highline Water District plans to upgrade the existing water main beginning in May (weather dependent). along 12th Pl S and 13th Ave S  from S 200th to S 207th St. The scope of work generally consists of installation of approximately 4,500 LF of 8-inch diameter ductile iron pipe to replace existing asbestos cement (AC) water mains including the installation of new water services, fire hydrants, and other associated water system work. This work is in consort with the City of SeaTac Storm Drainage & Road Improvements in the neighborhood.

 During the construction:

Water service may be interrupted temporarily.  Notice of interruptions to  water service  will be given 48 hours in advance unless:  (1) the interruption is an emergency, or (2) for construction reasons a minimum notice of 24 hours will be given.  Please contact the District as soon as possible if you have special conditions that the interruptions would affect.
Traffic may be disrupted briefly.  Residents will be notified if it becomes necessary to move vehicles parked in the right-of-way.  Any inconvenience in access to your residence will also be kept to a minimum.
The Contractor will clean up, repair, or replace disturbances to existing facilities resulting from this construction project.
Emergency services (Police, Fire, etc.) will be maintained at all times.
